In the 25 March issue of Science, a team led by Mary Schweitzer of North Carolina State University in Raleigh describes finding flexible and elastic blood vessels, and possibly intact cells, in the 68 million-year-old skeleton of a Tyrannosaurus rex.

Schweitzer and Horner (1999) addresses this issue of cellular preservation directly. The observed structures are not red blood cells -

Clearly these structures are not functional cells. However, one possibility is that they represent diagenetic alteration of original blood remnants, such as complexes of hemoglobin breakdown products, a possibility supported by other data that demonstrate that organic components remain in these dinosaur tissues.

Soft tissues are preserved within hindlimb elements of Tyrannosaurus rex (Museum of the Rockies specimen 1125). Removal of the mineral phase reveals transparent, flexible, hollow blood vessels containing small round microstructures that can be expressed from the vessels into solution. Some regions of the demineralized bone matrix are highly fibrous, and the matrix possesses elasticity and resilience. Three populations of microstructures have cell-like morphology. Thus, some dinosaurian soft tissues may retain some of their original flexibility, elasticity, and resilience.

Eu quero os fatos observados.. A lenga-lenga usada para esfumaçar e tirar a força do fato por não estar dentro do paradigma evolucionista não interessa.

Mesmo que sejam colônias de fungos ou bactérias utilizando o ferro da hemoglobina do sangue do Tiranossauro, ainda suscita interrogações.

nem falo que a observação histológica é sujeita a chuvas e trovoadas...

Oddly, one might more fairly say 'incompetently,' none of the microphotographs associated with the AiG "announcement" of Schweitzer's new publication have the scale bars found on all scientific publications of these results. Even the LA Times thought to include the obvious fact that these are microscopic features.

As fotos são falsas ou verdadeiras? Porque lembram perfeitamente as estruturas designadas. Mesmo que não tenham muito material orgânico desconheço que a fossilização possa guardar detalhes do tecido interno dessas criaturas.
