Estive lendo os comentários abaixo do video. Há umas colocações interessantes ali.
Realmente a auto-imagem das crianças e a imagem que elas têm do mundo pode ser construída e manipulada de várias formas.
Talvez o teste mostre algo naturalmente óbvio ( para elas no meio em que vivem ), ou seja apenas fruto de uma situação montada, digamos assim.

This study examined whether African American children’s perceptions of occupational status and their
own vocational interests are affected by racial segregation of the workforce. Children (N ϭ 92) rated
familiar occupations with respect to status, desirability, and stereotyping. Children also rated novel jobs
that had been depicted with African Americans, European Americans, or both African and European
Americans. As predicted, for familiar jobs, children’s judgments were linked to their knowledge of racial
segregation of these jobs. In addition, novel occupations that had been depicted with African Americans
were judged as lower in status than the identical occupations that had been depicted with European
Americans, demonstrating a causal influence of workers’ race on children’s judgments. Children’s age
and socioeconomic background moderated their occupational judgments.

As crianças (negras), (variando com a idade e classe social) julgam profissões desconhecidas como melhor ou pior remuneradas de acordo com com a raça do profissional que é usado para representar a profissão.

Bebês com uns três meses de idade ou menos (não lembro, isso não é estimativa) preferem rostos de mulheres, e da mesma raça da mãe. Um padrão de preferência meio "édipico" persiste até a vida adulta, as pessoas tendem a se casar com parceiros ou parceiras da raça do progenitor de sexo oposto.

Three-month-olds, but not newborns, prefer own-race faces

Adults are sensitive to the physical differences that define ethnic groups. However, the age at which we become sensitive to ethnic differences is currently unclear. Our study aimed to clarify this by testing newborns and young infants for sensitivity to ethnicity using a visual preference (VP) paradigm. While newborn infants demonstrated no spontaneous preference for faces from either their own- or other-ethnic groups, 3-month-old infants demonstrated a significant preference for faces from their own-ethnic group. These results suggest that preferential selectivity based on ethnic differences is not present in the first days of life, but is learned within the first 3 months of life. The findings imply that adults' perceptions of ethnic differences are learned and derived from differences in exposure to own- versus other-race faces during early development.

Abstract
Indirect parental influence on mate choice was ascertained using a recent population of brides and grooms of mixed parentage in Hawaii. With respect to nativity of parents, the influence of mothers on mate selection is greater than the influence of fathers. Simultaneously, mothers' influence on sons is greater than on daughters, and fathers' influence on daughters is greater than on sons. The data seemed to support the psychoanalytic theory of mate selection for both sexes. Related literature is interpreted in the light of these findings, and suggestions for further research are offered.

Abstract
Animal and human studies have shown that individuals choose mates partly on the basis of similarity, a tendency referred to as homogamy. Several authors have suggested that a specific innate recognition mechanism, phenotypic matching, allows the organism to detect similar others by their resemblance to itself. However, several objections have been raised to this theory on both empirical and theoretical grounds. Here, we report that homogamy in humans is attained partly by sexual imprinting on the opposite-sex parent during childhood. We hypothesized that children fashion a mental model of their opposite-sex parent's phenotype that is used as a template for acquiring mates. To disentangle the effects of phenotypic matching and sexual imprinting, adopted daughters and their rearing families were examined. Judges found significant resemblance on facial traits between daughter's husband and her adoptive father. Furthermore, this effect may be modified by the quality of the father-daughter relationship during childhood. Daughters who received more emotional support from their adoptive father were more likely to choose mates similar to the father than those whose father provided a less positive emotional atmosphere.

Sim, há vários estudos sobre isto. Além de outros que demonstram que crianças têm medo de pessoas "feias", mesmo que não estejam demonstrando uma fisionomia ameaçadora.

Isto me lembra o que acontecia sempre que uma tia minha ia nos visitar quando minha filha era muito bebê ainda ( tipo 3 ou 4 meses ). Ela chegava perto, minha filha a avistava e caía no maior berreiro. Alguma coisa naquele rosto a perturbava muito. Não era feiúra propriamente, mas rugas e cabelos brancos talvez.
